The Japan Foundation Jakarta, in collaboration with the Undergraduate Program in Japanese Literature, Faculty of Cultural Sciences, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FIB USU), will hold the 5th Japanese Language Presentation Contest (University Student Level) for the North Sumatra and Aceh regions, with the theme “What Is Happiness?” on October 13, 2026, at the Prof. T.A. Ridwan Building, FIB USU.
The Undergraduate Program in Japanese Literature, Faculty of Cultural Sciences, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FIB USU), will hold the 5th Japanese Language Presentation Contest for University Students in the North Sumatra and Aceh regions, with the theme “What Is Happiness?” The activity is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, from 08:00 to 12:30 WIB at the Prof. T.A. Ridwan Building, Faculty of Cultural Sciences, Universitas Sumatera Utara.
This presentation contest is an activity intended for university students as a platform to develop their Japanese language skills while conveying ideas through presentations. Through the theme “What Is Happiness?”, participants will have the opportunity to express their thoughts and perspectives on the meaning of happiness in Japanese.
The event is also supported by several parties, including The Japan Foundation, the Consulate-General of Japan in Medan, the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), and other supporting partners. The activity is also part of efforts to expand opportunities for university students to develop their Japanese communication skills and gain experience in academic activities related to the Japanese language and culture.
